Goal of the deck is to just outvalue your opponent's board and ping your way to victory. This deck is very flexible depending on what you're playing against and understanding from turn 1 if you're the aggressor or defender is key to victory to flex between the board control or swing for face/ Cassian triggers strategies.
The Shield is key for protecting sentinel units in particular. Cassian coming onto battlefield is more to push tempo than to go all in on his ability as a unit. His Leader side is mostly used after the flip to keep unit pressure rolling strong and let the rebel alliance swing to victory.
