Hello there, since spoiler season i believed in yoda because he was designed to be very strong leader and his synergy with you're my only hope makes him much stronger than dooku or even vader. Luke on 5 resource gap is one of the most powerful possible plays in this game. In my opinion if Boba hadn't been banned his power would have been significantly reduced by Yoda.
- Why Green? First I played a lot of the yellow version for a long time it looked promising but finally it was finished by an important matchup against cad bane where I was not able to win a single game three times in a row. Blue option is interesting, in my opinion better than the blue rey but it still has similar problems and it won't be a top deck like the green version. In my opinion, red, blue, hero decks needs more certainty against aggro, and here rey or han2blue will be better. Playing yoda over such leaders weakens the matchup on aggro a bit. But a green, blue and white deck in my tests can afford to change the leader to one that goes out to 7.
- The deck strategy is pretty simple. Against aggro/midrange matchups, you need to survive until yoda's turn, in which after luke, u-wing, or obi-wan enters you usually win the game. To do this you have many options, ramp, strong sentinels, you're my only hope, healing. Against control or midranges with strong late game you usually have the advantage of a stronger leader and a solid deck with strong sideboard. Somentimes Vigiliance help finish the game by milling.
- Matchups, I played with good players in these games so it seems reliable to me, and my successful tests on Karabast confirm this. My only lose there in my opinion it results from my mistakes, for example I allowed the opponent to play Krayt Dragon on 6 resources because I forgot that Huyang is a Jedi.
- Yoda green 2:1 Sabine ECL
- Yoda green 2:0 Han1 Yellow
- Yoda green 2:1 Quira ECL
- Yoda green 1:2 Han2 ECL
- Yoda green 2:0 Cad tarkintown
- Yoda green 2:1 Luke green
- Yoda green 2:1 Maul red
- Yoda green 2:0 Wat tambor yellow
- Deck Potential, Issues, Summary, In my opinion the deck is strong enough to play in the biggest tournaments because it can handle the main decks in the meta solidly. At the moment it seems that its biggest problem is Emperor Palpatine, although this matchup is probably winnable. If you have any suggestions or ideas what could be added I would be happy to read them.
