SKILL LEVEL 5 (AVERAGE)
Ahsoka although it is an aggro deck, it does require a significant amount of play testing against the meta decks in the format to help you to understand lines of play, and play patterns against certain archetypes.
Ahsoka is one of the new leaders from set 3. I really like the potential of this leader for an aggressive deck. I wish it came out on turn 4, but with these colors we have enough cards that boost our damage to help keep us in the race against other aggro decks.
The coordinate ability is nice in theory as we can get in for more damage. When Ahsoka is deployed we can pump up Ahsoka to a 7/6 on it's deploy turn and immediately attack in with Ahsoka's Lightsaber if we have 3 units out. The issue with an ability like this is if our opponent wants to stop this that it can be very ineffective. In this deck, our goal is to finish the game by the time Ahsoka flips.
TURN 1 PLAYS
We have 21 turn 1 plays in this deck as we want to try and establish "Coordinate" as quickly as possible to be able to activate our leader's ability and get an advantage over our opponent. We have 12x 1 drops if you include Leia because it can make itself cost only 1 on turn 1.
3x Cartel Turncoat 3x Greedo 3x Solider of the 501st 3x Leia Organa 3x L3-37 (Shielded- Helps against Jango/Cad Bane) 3x Green Squadron A-Wing 3x Sabine Wren
SPACE
We have a strong space presence with 12 units in space. This allows us to arena dodge, and to match units against decks like Jango Red in case we get behind. Our space units can really help us to close the game against ground heavy decks with cards like "Surprise Strike", and "Heroic Sacrifice".
3x Cartel Turncoat 3x Green Squadron A-Wing 3x Millenium Falcon 3x Red Three
MILLENIUM FALCON
Millenium is one of the best space units in the game. It can obviously be a unit that puts pressure on your opponent, or plays strong defense. One of the areas that it gets underappreciated is it's ability to go back to your hand. In this build we don't care too much about pay the tax of 1 resource because most of our cards are very cheap so we can afford to pay the tax, and still play out our hand for the turn around 4 or 5 resources.
LEIA ORGANA
Leia serves a few purposes in here. It's exhaust effect can be a great tempo card to help slow down our opponent while getting a unit on board. This is particulary effective against units that have been upgraded or have a lot of power so that we can stay ahead of our opponent in the race. It's other ability fits very nicely in here as a way to get more units on board to activate Ahsoka's Coordinate ability.
JESSE
One of the new cards from set 3 that gives this deck a powerboost is Jesse. This card already attacks in for 5 damage all by itself. If we have coordinate activated than we can attack for 6 damage with Ahsoka's ability on turn 3. We can attack for 7 Damage with "Heroic Sacrifice" or "Breaking In", and attack in for 8 damage with "Surprise Strike". With our aim being to close the game out by the Ahsoka flip turn this card is incredibly helpful with doing so.
K-2S0
Our other closer in this deck besides Ahsoka itself is K-2S0. On the deploy turn one of our best ways to close the game our even catchup when racing other aggro decks is to use a "Heroic Sacrifice" on K-2S0 to do 9 damage to our opponent after we trigger its when defeated ability. Even if we don't have this great combo in our hand we can still do things like "Hot Shot Blaster" for 6, "Surprise Strike" for 7, and "Breaking In" for 6.
PUSHING DAMAGE
This deck aims to push damage with its cheap units as quickly as possible. We a combination of damage boosters, some cards that have reach to push damage on our opponents.
2x Ahsoka's Padowan Lightsaber 3x Daring Raid (Sideboard) 2x Hotshot V-Blaster 3x Surprise Strike 3x Heroic Sacrifice 2x Breaking In (Sideboard) 3x K-2S0
REMOVAL/EXHAUST EFFECTS
Removal is definitely not what our deck wants to be focused on. However, some games our opponents get off to a faster start than us, and we need to have ways to deal with our opponents to slow them down. I consider "Force Throw" in here because Ahsoka is a force unit, but it didn't feel relevant enough with the other cards in the deck, and therefore I chose to exclude it for now. If I want to go that route I would have to include more force units like "Grogu", and "Plo Koon".
3x Daring Raid (Sideboard) 2x Spare the Target 2x Bamboozle (Sideboard) 3x Leia Organa (Exhaust)
SIDEBOARD
3x Daring Raid (Control/Removal against decks that go wide) 2x Bamboozle (Exhaust against Powerful Upgraded Units or Leaders) 2x Breaking In (Help against Aggro Decks) 3x Spark of Rebellion- Control/Midrange
MAYBEBOARD
3x Crafty Smuggler (Shielded) for Jango Red 2x Shoot First (To Help Against Aggro)
