Fennec Punches The Base - V2

UPDATE: Some changes since I posted this.

• C-3PO is now 3x
• Cassian is now 3x
• Wing Leader is now 3x
• Heroic Sacrifice is cut
• Spare the Target is in Side Board or Cut (still deciding)
• R2 down to 1x, 1 more in side board
• Principled Outlaw down to 2x, 1 more in side board
• Qi'ra at 2x
• Heroic Resolve at 1x, with 1 more in side board

I took some notes from RebelResources's great recent video about Sabine Yellow updates, and have now stole some of the ideas there and am trying them out here. So far, I really like them, especially the Qi'ra and small Heroic Resolve inclusions.

Current Sideboard: X-Wings, 1 R2, 1 Heroic Resolve, Pirated Starfighters, Valiant Assault Ship.

Side board is mostly designed to help go wider, or go anti-control.

We've got updates, and results, baybee!

At locals recently, I've gone 3-0, 3-0, 4-0...then a 1-2. Forget about that one :P. This was over the course of many iterations of this deck, including something akin to that previous V1 version.

Recently I went 4-3 at a Planetary Qualifier, and went 4-0 at a Store Showdown. At the qualifier, 2 of the three sets I lost were completely in my control to win--honestly, I've just gotta become a better player, with more mental stamina to handle decision fatigue over a full day of play.

We've brought in a few things in this version.

1. Principled Outlaw was a relic of my Fennec ECL days...turns out, never should've dumped him when jumping ship. He's back, and he's so good. Especially against Boba Yellow, Sabine ECL, and Kylo Yellow.
2. Bamboozle is too good not to run 3x of in main. There are so few matchups where it isn't handy to have that card. With Bamboozle and Principled Outlaw in, Leia just isn't as worthwhile. She's out.
3. I'm now convinced C-3PO is one of the best cards in the game. Guess 2 or 3 (based on number you've drawn of either so far) and you so consistently draw. Pump him up with a Wing Leader or Hotshot and he is a pain to get rid of. Someone else I know runs Fennec Red with a significantly higher percentage of 3-costs, and only costs 3. This especially makes Bamboozle more potent, given that it gives more potential for discard fodder.
4. Adjustments to make For a Cause worth it.
5. The side board is primarily geared to make this deck go longer in matchups where it needs to. But I might end up cutting Wrecker or Han. I'm trying to figure out where they best belong.

All of the same Fennec Red principles still apply:

• Play it like Sabine Yellow by default
• Use the ambush more for tempo than for ultra-strict control
• Always be wary of Fennec's fragility
