This is my second iteration of Han Solo deck. After few losses I now what didn’t work and made some edits.
Tl;dr again there are no 1-resource cards that’s all by design - and not many 2-res either, because Han can play 3R card on turn one via his ability. It plays nice with Falcons.
Mon Mothma on R1 is preferred, though, to gain one more Rebel card - that’s why there are so many Rebel units. Recall her via Bright Hope drawing another card, stabilizing your hand.
Use Han skill when necessary and aim to play 7R card in just turn 4 (with base 5R) by using his skill twice - normally and by deploying him as a leader and attacking with him.
And how to deal with buffed units with shields and experience tokens? Try to Traitorous’em when ready on turn 4 (or even exhausted on turn 3 via Han’s skill).
And your ultimate combo is playing Home One via Sneak Attack. It then enters ready - but only for one turn. You can do it for just 7 Resources, but you want to prepare by ensuring that one Fleet Lieutenant is in Discard Pile (either via attacking with him or by Han’s skill). Why?
H1 is recovering FL via „when played” effect, and FL’s „when played” effect let you attack with H1 for 7+2 damage and there is nothing that can stop it since it’s all just one action! It can be a finisher targeting base and giving a win from behind - or it can even destroy Avenger in one hit.
Surprise Striking from any unit and Sneak Attacking f.e. Fleet Lieutenant for instant 5 damage are also good endgame plays, as is Falcon entering ready late game after another player passed.
I plan to use this deck as-is for aggro matchups, but for control in BO3 I think of switching this cards via sidedeck:
- Change of Heart instead of Traitorous
- Lando instead of Chewbacca
- Waylay instead of Rogue Operative
- Reinforcement Walker instead of.. something
I don’t use Steadfast and ECL because there are many units with Ambush already and at 5R I aim to play Han-unit or U-Wing anyway via Han Skill and afterwards there are better options for 6R. It also gives you 5HP breathing room.
What do you think? Any input appreciated!
