He's A Sax Man

This deck creates a lot of play lines against different opponents by playing and creating high value units via Gar's ability.

General line of play would be to have some favorable unit trades in the first few turns while you ramp with SLT and Price on Your Head. The fun begins at 5/6 resources when you're hopefully playing Supercommando Squad (5/4 shielded sentinel) and then deploying Gar. Ideally you could be throwing an electro staff on the Squad to make it incredibly annoying and you're giving Gar a Devotion (if you've taken some damage) or Brutal Traditions.

At this point, you're either going to win on the ground OR they're going to spend a lot of resources clearing out what you have. If they manage to stabilize we move to space. For 6 you play Clan Saxon Gauntlet (4/5 sentinel that becomes a 6/6 as soon as an attack is declared on it) to get control of space. Then for 7 you smuggle First Light allowing you to hopefully beef up a unit strategically with its damage+grit. This combo can often win you the game from space.

But IF NOT, you have Jabba's Rancor to play back on the ground when your side has probably been wiped out. Rancor with grit just feels like cheating and that can probably win you the game.

But IF NOT, you're playing against a hard control deck and it's going to be up to luck. Go wide early and pray you draw better than them.

Sideboard
